I am in love with someone at my cable company. I am guessing that the Comcast person was told to advertise the pResidnet's speech on their message system and so they did, at 9pm on the night of the speech.

I also just sent a message to the U of Mn President. I think the General College keeps the U grounded but if it was a bad idea that money should all go back into the community college fund not to the U. After not protecting Najarian, making the dental school unavailable to welfare people and selling off the hospitals they are not doing Minnesotans any favors.

That reminds me dental money caps led to me getting surgery on the bones of my face next week to try to clean out an infection that was left because dental care for the poor was cut until there was no dental care in 2003. I was responsible I tried to get it taken care of but could not get in when it started and could not see the specialists needed to stop it before it became life threatening and needed surgery and this infection has no cost cost thousands of dollars. While waiting for the pre-ops consult Tuesday a man walked into the dental office and offered to pay cash to get an infected tooth pulled. He had MnMedicaid and had just been across the street to his provider who had told him that he needed to stop his blood thinner for at least five days but then when he came back they decided that the liability was too great to work on him and had nobody to refer him too. So now he is off his meds and in terrible pain and infection. We are going to see "back street dental care" in Minnesota before the year is out.

My dental office said it was illegal to take money from him and that they would be dropped by medicaid if they did help him and couldn 't ever help anyone else. People are being driven round trip to Big Lake to a new clinic with brand new dentists following computer protocols for people who are in as much trouble as I am. After the third emergency trip after they did the "procedure" that blocked drainage to the infection despite my protests. They opened up two new holes in my jaw bone to let it drain and sent me home with 2 1/2 days of antibiotics because that is all their computer would allow. My Aunt says an elderly person from her church had a dental infection go into her brain and she is not expected to live. Like my mother I am sure this women wouldn't dream of demanding enough medicine to keep her alive although I did for all the good it did and the incompetent or overly managed dentist probably doesn't even know she is in the hospital. Thank God for my original dentist at Open Cities Clinic she keeps me going while I try to get this taken care of and even called my insurance company personally and demanded that they get this taken care of immediately. She could see me fading as this thing drags on.

1. Hang in there

Things are bad but they'll get better. I have no job nor insurance and when I went for a routine dental cleaning, part of a molar broke off. Yes, a molar interior is now exposed to the world. I feel no pain but it does feel weird at times. I'm assuming they'll cap it or remove it but it'll cost me more than what I have and my family would have to help me thought they live off SS and are scared now....so much for their votes for a Christian.

2. I really hope there is a very special hell for our pres and congress.

Some suggestions. I recently found an ad on the internet about a tooth paste that was suppose to work wonders. It is soap that tastes good. I'm a sucker for health ads like that so I bought some. I alternate between that and castile soap because the castile is liquid and the other one is shaved, which is really hard to keep on the tooth brush.

Bottom line - I haven't seen a dentist in 2 years because of unemployment. I usually see him every 6 months because the tartar takes over that fast. I started using this stuff regularrly in January. Tarter buildup was gone. Gums were in the best shape they'd been in in decades.

Another suggestion is mouth washes with hydrogen peroxide. Often.

4. I had a jawbone infection due to screwed up sinus surgery

and a surgeon who wouldn't prescribe antibiotics even when it was obvious my mouth was becoming infected from an anesthesiologist who'd shoved a tube down my mouth so roughly that he scraped open my mouth down to the bone.

I've since learned to hoard antibiotics. I'm prone to sinus infections, so I just save the refills for times like this when it can be life or death. Came in handy a time or two since then. Another trick is if they change prescriptions because one isn't working, save it anyhow. Next infection it might be just what works.

I'm not one for over-using antibiotics, but I've now had two family members in life-threatening situations because doctors wouldn't prescribe when it was obvious that infection had set in.
