http://msp.blogs.com/brianlambert/2008/06/franken-and-the.htmlIn an MSP Magazine column about Democrats' concerns about Al Franken's past writings, local media critic Brian Lambert made several references to why our own Senator Grab Ass--that's what Norm Coleman is known as in Washington circles--should be worrying about his own problems. Some of Lambert's observations:
"Whatever you might think of Franken's sophomoric sex jokes or skit ideas, it isn't like he was hiding them. It isn't like, you know, he is some high-profile politician hiding a reputation for chronic womanizing.)"
"After all, Franken—at least as far as anyone knows—only makes jokes about sex with other women and has no reputation at all for chasing them around hotel suites."
Now, when will some our local daily political reporters start asking the tough questions about Norm's past? How many rumors does it take before something becomes a news story? If the Rethuglicans want to talk about character in this race, bring it on.
