Stop the Surge in Afghanistan 7/23
Hey everyone in the silent majority who's against the serial war culture that has come into being and is trying to take over the United States of America, here's a chance to show you care and are not complicit with this U.S. serial war culture. It's easy, just show up and hold a sign for a few minutes.

4 MN killed in Afganistan this weekend, 1 more from injuries.
Why the hell are we in Afganistan?
How many more children will die from our bombs and their bombs today ? How do we sleep at night ?

(from a friend who was at PigStock on Saturday)
" Ironically on this same day, a lady from Rosemount whom I know was making the difficult decision to pull the plug on her only son's life support. Her 21 year old son, Ben Kopp, an Army Ranger in Afghanistan, had been seriously wounded a few days before. Kopp was the 5th Minnesotan to die in Iraq and Afghanistan in 72 hours. There were three Minnesota National Guard who died in Iraq and one Air Force Captain from Eagan and Army Ranger Kopp died from being shot in Afghanistan. But you only see a couple short paragraphs in news reports about their deaths. As difficult as it is, even for the peace community to face the harsh, unvarnished truth that Chris Hedges provided and Nigel Parry sang ("blessed be the peacemakers in a time of endless war"), we must face this truth and redouble our efforts.
