I found a welcome resource for information on judicial races:
http://www.mnprogressiveproject.com/diary/7286/minnesota-judicial-elections-2010

After reading though parts 1 - 4 of rachel_nygaard's posts on the judicial races, I made a list that I'll be taking to my polling place tomorrow:

Helen Meyer
Alan Page (of course!)
Larry Stauber
Randolph Peterson
Larry Clark
Michael Roith
Gloria Bogen
Paul Benshoff
William Leary
Paul Rasmussen
Michael Cuzzo
Kate McPherson (still unsure on this one, there are at least half a dozen out of the 24 candidates that might be equally good or better)

If anyone knows of any reason why someone on my list should NOT be on my list, I hope you'll respond tonight -- because I'll be driving directly to my polling place after work tomorrow, and I won't log in to DU until after I vote.

1. My recommendation in the 24-way race for 10th District Court, Seat 3, goes to Catherine Ann McEnroe
...simply because I know her personally, and know her to be exactly the sort of person I'd like to see on the bench. This is not to detract from any of the other twenty-three candidates, who, for all I know, might also be extremely well-qualified.

7. Maybe I interpreted the posting about him the wrong way, or mixed up the names -- sorry!

I just got back from voting and had my list with me. I'm up in Pine County and there were several names that didn't show up on my ballot at all, including Leary.

Maybe some of the races were only on the ballot in the metro area? I really don't know how it works for judicial elections. :(

4. Just saw this, thanks! The MN Progressive Project doesn't endorse Leary BTW.

They seem uncertain about him.

We cross posted. I'll have my post in this vein deleted, thanks! :hi:

5. it's hard to find info.
I've just seen a few Leary lawn signs next to Emmer signs. Doesn't make me want to vote for the guy!

6. Hi Eleanor!

Leary boasts that Mondale is a supporter, so that could be why some are going with him? I like Iversen's bio. She has a husband who is a public school teacher. She's been involved in good causes ... so I'm going with her. :hi: Yes, anyone next to an Emmer sign is a sign of who not to vote for. The dh has a house he drives by to see who NOT to vote for. I drive by on my way to the polls as well.

Off to vote! :D
