KC Star: Lawmaker perks include free movies
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - State lawmakers get a salary and daily expense allowance, special license plates and free meals from lobbyists. They also get a little-known perk that might arouse the envy of some Missourians - free movies.

Nodler was using the movie pass July 22 in Joplin when he got into an argument with an aide for developmentally disabled adults at a matinee showing of the "Fantastic Four." Nodler and his brother walked out of the movie while complaining about the noise, which the aide took as an affront to her clients.

Also from the Turner Report Blog:

And since someone else is going to point this out, I might as well do it first. Nodler voted to deprive some of the poorest Missourians of desperately-needed medical care (and then bragged about it), while he was taking advantage of a gift that he received only because many of those same people elected him to office.

However, I did hear one thing said with which I totally agree. "You need someone to take care of that kind of people when they are out in public." Darned right. It may be politically incorrect for me to say this, but it is embarrassing when they behave like that. This should never be allowed to happen again. It's time we had a caregiver for state senators.

1. it's not enough to get free movies
Nodler also demands that the theater audience be up to his genetic standards.

Maybe he should work on some legislation requiring a DNA test before being allowed in his presence.

Then again, Nodler looks a little chromosomally challenged himself...
