Pro-McCain Group Dumps Terror Scare DVD in Swing States.
It's called "Obsession -- Radical Islam's War Against the West" and it has been on Fox and CNN, I believe.

As I understand it, the Clarion Fund is the organization responsible for putting this DVD as an insert in many newspapers in swing states over the weekend.

I have read that the Springfield News-Leader in Missouri has agreed to include the DVD, but I don't know if they've actually done it, or if they just plan to do it in the future.

So far I do not know of any other Missouri newspaper that plans to do this. I have phoned the KC Star to find out if they've been approached, and if they would agree or turn down such an offer.

I have seen part of this DVD. It has been on cable TV. It is frightening and should not be seen by young children. I'm wondering if a participating newspaper could be sued on this basis.

When or if I have time, I'll phone other papers around our state. But anyone who reads this could do it, hint hint.

1. The GOP is playing the fear card

and that is why these DVDs are being distributed. Plus, they continue to lie and tell people that Obama is a Muslim.

(I forgot to mention this in my original post.)

2. The attorney I'm contacting about this wasn't in; he'll be there on Wednesday.
I didn't have a chance to contact any newspapers today and ask what their policy is on promoting the DVD.

3. Got it in my Sunday News Leader. I believe my exact quote was
"what is this shit doing in my newspaper?"

We get so much "end times" literature in the mail and papers from local nutbag churches that I thought it was just another. I didn't realize until yesterday what this really was.

4. That is creepy -- getting end times literature in the mail.

"Are you ready for the Rapture" stuff from churches?

5. I was able to speak with an attorney today.
I said that, in my estimation, this DVD was not suitable for children and could that be the basis for a lawsuit. The answer was yes.

6. I got it too
Came in the weekend edition of my local paper, The Examiner. I'm calling the paper this morning to find out who made the decision to put this propaganda in the paper. It's outrageous.

7. Ccvirgo, if you have young children and they were exposed to
this DVD, and you had assumed it was okay to watch because it came to you in the newspaper so of course you thought it was all right, and if your children were upset or even traumatized by what they saw (and what child wouldn't be!), then you have a basis for a lawsuit. It's just a matter of taking it up with Obama's attorneys and I am sure they would be more than happy to expose what McCain backers are doing (i.e., placing this DVD in newspapers in swing states).

Once a lawsuit has begun, the MSM will pick up the story.

Anyone reading this post can begin the lawsuit.

8. No children here
My son on Earth is 25, and my son in Heaven is 17. I myself, though, was very offended by it. I called the editor of the paper, and he said he had received several calls about it. He also said it was a hard call for the paper to insert it, and they expected to have complaints.
I do plan on telling my local campaign manager about it.
