Ballot Initiatives and Judges St. Louis County etc
Any opinions of the ballot initiatives and Judges in St. Louis county? I know I will vote for all Democrats but I never know what to do with all the judges and some of ballot measures amendments, etc. Some are clear to me others are not.

Not clear.

Constitutional Amendment 1 about English being the language of all governmental meetings - I would think NO - but any reason to vote yes? Why is this needed?

Constitutional Amendment 4 dealing with storm water - don't understand if a good thing or bad.

Proposition H - this one I'm really confused about what it is and if a good thing or not. It deals with a use tax on out of state purchases.

1. Amendment 1 is just immigrant-bashing

It's absolutely unnecessary. There's no record of ANY Missouri government meeting held in any language other than English and there's already a standing Missouri resolution that declares English Missouri's "common language."

Amendment 4 was endorsed by the Post-Dispatch and the KC Star -- they said it basically allows the state govt. more flexibility in stormwater control projects, allowing them to give loans than need to be repaid by local authorities rather than grants.

Frankly, I HATE ballot initiatives and votes on judges. Voters should not be asked to vote on things on which they don't have the expertise. We elect representatives for a reason.

2. judges
The last time the only judge I voted against was Rush Limbaugh's brother - for no other reason than that it was his brother - other than that I pretty much vote yes unless I read something but I feel pretty clueless about them.

4. ok
I knew it was a limbaugh - you are probably right. I didn't see him listed this time. Maybe not everyone is up for a vote at once.
