Wall Street Journal takes interest in City Hall strife (KC)
The Wall Street Journal apparently has two reporters looking into recent doings at City Hall.

A Chicago-based reporter showed up on the 22nd floor today in an effort to interview council members, aides said. Councilwoman Jan Marcason said she had a meeting and was unable to do so.

Another reporter appears to be assisting in the story by making phone calls. One of those was to Councilman Ed Ford, who said in an effort for transparency he answered questions. He said among the questions he faced were about Mayor Mark Funkhouser moving staff meetings and other office functions to his home in Brookside.

There had been lots of talk last week about when the national media would swoop in to examine Funkhouser's dispute with council members. The answer is apparently sooner than some had thought.

1. Must be an exhaust leak in his car.
And he's been breathing the fumes.

4. The city should establish a Citizen's Whining and Petty Bickering Task Force
Then Funkhouser and his merry band of commissioners could resign to take jobs with this new organization. It would be a better fit for their skill sets, and it would free up their positions for people that actually give a shit about the well being of our city.
