Where is David Hahn?
Edited on Wed Jul-05-06 05:16 PM by LiberalAndProud
I received a letter from Barry Rubin. David Hahn's name does not appear in the text.

I know you are getting ready for a long weekend, but I wanted to take a moment and talk about what is happening on Friday. June 30th marks an important milestone in what will be a long campaign season. This Friday is the end of the second financial quarter of 2006.

We know it takes votes to win an election and not money. However, over the next couple of months, organizations, newspapers, and individuals will use the second quarter fundraising numbers as a barometer of how successful a campaign will be at broadcasting its message.
We need to send an overwhelming message that Nebraskans are supporting Ben Nelson, Maxine Moul, Jim Esch and Scott Kleeb.

If you are planning on giving to a federal candidate’s campaign, now is the time to do it. Ben, Maxine, Jim and Scott need your help to show everyone that Nebraskans fully support their campaigns and are ready to change the political landscape of our state.
Each of our federal candidates have websites that allow you to make a contribution with ease on their websites:

Senator Ben Nelson

Campaign Website Contribute Page

First Congressional District - Maxine Moul

Campaign Website Contribute Page

Second Congressional District - Jim Esch

Campaign Website Contribute Page

Third Congressional District - Scott Kleeb

Campaign Website, Contribute Page

Please take a moment and consider making a donation to these candidates today. With your help, we'll send a resounding message to Republicans and the media throughout this state - the Nebraska Democratic Party and its candidates are poised for victory!

With Warm Wishes,
Barry Rubin
Executive Director
Nebraska Democratic Party

I guess Gov. Heinemann is a shoe-in.

1. David Hahn is a good guy and would be a great governor
that said, he's a complete lost cause. If you have $$$ to donate, I suggest donating to Scott Kleeb. Besides the fact that he's running against a complete wacko for an open seat, he's just what western Nebraska needs to represent them, in the opinion of this Western Nebraska native and he's closest in cash on hand to his opponent. Western Nebraska is a small market. In some ways, I think anything can happen.

7. Hey, I met him!
When I was working in the music department on the O St. Barnes & Noble. He was really, REALLY nice. His wife was nice too!
I know, not that important, just my impression of him: Positive.

2. I've given to Jim Esch and David Hahn and....
Edited on Fri Jul-07-06 08:02 PM by Omaha Steve

I don't think either will win, but will vote and donate. My International union (AFSCME) gave to all five before the primary. I'm sure they will come through again. Just a quick note. Labor booed David the first time he was introduced after he said something about he shops at Wal-mart. I met him a few weeks ago at the Douglas County Convention, and just reminded him not to shop there. :-) My wife and I have given to the big five in Nebraska and many candidates around the country too.

3. Esch would be my second choice of who to donate to
I really like some of the things he's said although I can't see so far that he's running a real good campaign. All I've seen so far is his name on half the bus benches in the city. I hope he's got a few more tricks up his sleeve.

4. Hahn will be the ONLY pro choice name on the fall ballot in Omaha

Nelson and Esch are on the other side of the aisle.

6. Pro-choice CAN'T win in this state
I'm willing to settle for "pro-Nebraska" instead of "pro-corporate" or "pro-religious nuts" or "pro-tax cuts for Texas Oil Millionaires" At this point, someone who won't knowingly screw over our state is a step in the right direction.

5. Re: Hahn
That is ridiculous. Has Hahn said anything about being left out? All of the Democrats with the exception of Nelson have an uphill battle to fight. I'd really like to know why Hahn was left out.
