New Morning Radio Show on WWRL (Air American affiliate)
Mark Riley and Richard Bey will take over the morning show Monday at WWRL (1600 AM), replacing Sam Greenfield and Armstrong Williams.

Program director Rennie Bishop calls the move a "creative redirection." WWRL is the flagship for the Air America network but has its own in-house morning show.

Both Riley and Bey are city radio veterans. Riley worked for many years at WLIB (1190 AM) before joining Air America, where he worked from its inception in March 2004 until earlier this year.

Bey co-hosted "The Buzz" with Steve Malzberg on WABC (770 AM) for several years and in August started an 8-10 p.m. show on WWRL.

1. They should have let Greenfield try solo.
He did his own show on WEVD 10+ years ago and was riveting.

The Sam/Army dealie was clumsily 'even- handed', forced and dumbed- down; doomed from the get go.

2. When I used to listen to the show I thought Greenfield was a black woman.
He had a VERY weird voice.....
I had to laugh because a few callers thought the same thing, and he had to break it to them that he was a man.

I am glad to see Mark Riley is back on the air...he is certainly better than Armstrong.

3. I am so glad to see Armstrong Williams leave
Now if only I could get radio reception on 1600, I'd be all set.
