Oregon Governor Kulongoski in Afghanistan to Praise Troops
SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- Governor Kulongoski left Oregon to spend time with U.S. forces at an undisclosed place.

Kulongoski pledged during his re-election campaign that win or lose, he would visit Oregon troops in Afghanistan.

Kulongoski spokesman Charlie Burr would not specify where the governor had gone.

About 880 Oregon National Guard and Oregon Air National Guard troops are deployed in Afghanistan.

Kulongoski is an ex-Marine and has attended more than 70 funerals for Oregonians killed in combat overseas. He also joined six governors for a trip to Iraq in 2004.

1. A little late catching your post, but I wholeheartedly concur.
I supported Ted and am more than relieved he won. Saxton would have been Disastersville for our great state. And the Dems are back in control of the Legislature.

Now...if Measure 37 would just get overturned. Even so, life is gooood again!
