2,000 protest Obama policies at 'tea party' in Cranberry
Under a sunny sky in a Butler County park, John and Norene Auer were marking their 20th wedding anniversary.

"We decided what we wanted to do was celebrate our freedom," a smiling Mrs. Auer explained.

So the Latrobe couple joined a throng of like-minded activists in one more of the "tea party" demonstrations that have sprung up across the country, protesting the policies of the Obama administration and what some conservatives see as an alarming drift in the nation's capital.

-----

Dancing over the heads of the crowd were signs with messages that included, "Think Green Recycle Congress," "No to Public Option No to Trigger Option," and "Impeach the Marxist Muslim."

3. BTW they are planning a Tea Party at Bushy Run 9-12
Start: Sep 12 2009 - 11:00am
“Awaken the American Spirit” is the theme of the September 12, 2009 T.E.A (Taxed Enough Already) Party.

Bushy Run Battlefield will be the backdrop to yet another historical event. This is a grassroots movement that allows not only your voice to be heard, but will also provide valuable information. Topics such as the Economy, Family Values, Health Care, Cap and Trade, and the 2nd Amendment will be presented by enthusiastic and passionate speakers. Attorney Brad Tupi; CEO of Eagle Forum, Colleen Holmes; Firearm Owners Against Crime Chairman, Kim Stolfer; and Minister, Troy Northrop will be among those presenting. There will also be a memorial for 9-11 with Clay Mankamyer and, back by popular demand, Smokey Stover presiding. In addition, groups such as the T.E.A Party, Conservative Coalition, Eagle Forum, Bushy Run Heritage Society, 9-12, 2nd Amendment, NRA, and Firearm Owners Against Crime will be on site to direct you to established organizations where you can plug in, sign petitions and get actively involved. Entertainment will include Laurie Racculia and Occasions Entertainment.

Saturday, September 12h, from 11 AM-1 PM at Bushy Run Battlefield. We encourage you to bring your family, a picnic lunch and your signs.

I'm wondering if any are going to try open carry and the legality at Bushy Run - I don't know if legal since it is a state park.

4. Cranberry assholes, eh?
As Johnny Carson said... "I... did not KNOW that!"

Said similar group had a tea party over where I am (Boyce Park) right around that time... I'm not sure a lot of them showed, very little press was given to it.

If assholery knows no boundaries of Allegheny County, does short term memory diminish with these folks after 8 years of Bush? I can't fathom what the hell they were thinking (nothing) all that time.
