Twp. Supervisors Citied by DEP for Illegal Open Burning, then they do it again

Middle Smithfield Twp. in Monroe Co. has truly become a renegade twp. First, two of the Supervisors proposed and adopted a new zoning ordinance that greatly expanded the areas allowing strip clubs. It is public knowledge that one of the Supervisors wants to turn his own bar into a strip club. In that same law, they tried to ban churches in much of the township.

Now the Supervisors were caught by DEP doing illegal open burning. Only individuals are allowed to do open burning under State law, not governments or businesses. DEP cited them for a violation of State law. Then a couple days later, they did the same thing.
