Let's collect Texas-based political links and blogs.
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 11:49 PM by crispini
It would be fun! So, to keep it organized, let's do it by sections, for example, All Texas, Dallas, Houston, etc. It'll be a fun resource!

83. Lots of TDW chapters
TDW has over 1600 members from all over the state. The Chapters web page (http://www.tdw.org/chapters.html) has been revamped and you can now search for local chapters by city or county. The news links on the home page (http://www.tdw.org) are updated frequently, and there's a link to Democratic Underground just above the news links.

126. Progress For Texas
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 04:35 PM by theboz
http://www.progressfortexas.com/

I registered it partially so those PfA assholes can't have the domain, but also to set up a site for what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to do programming to upgrade it, and I haven't had time to even deal with the content since I don't have time to make the code work like I wanted.

So, if anyone out there wants to set up some sort of Texas-politics based blog or web community let me know and I will either possibly transfer the domain to you, or set you up as an admin to fix it up. I just don't have the time to deal with it on my own.

I *love* this website. It's laugh-out-loud funny.

http://www.brazosriver.com/index.html

A snippet:

March 19 - Now I’m not saying that Tom DeLay is a publicity-seeking hypocrite with all the social conscience of Paris Hilton ….. okay, well hell, that’s exactly what I’m saying. I might as well admit it.

Since when did Tom DeLay get his tight little britches all in a wad over Terri Schiavo? I mean, the most dangerous place on earth is the three feet between Tom DeLay and a cameraman asking about Terri Shiavo. Tom would scalp anyone who would accidentally stumble into his camera shot.

But where in the fool tarnation was Tom DeLay when two other cases were right in Tom’s own backyard last week? ...

49. David Van Os is going to run for Attorney General
You are welcome to join the steering committee. This steering committee membership will not be merely honorary or nominal; it will be where the real strategic work of the campaign is done, thus comprehensive statewide participation is needed. If you would like to participate, please let us know either by reply email or by telephone at 210-822-1177 (leave a voice-mail message).

72. Don't Support David Van Os - PM Me For Details!
Sorry to beat the dead horse but Van Os will never have my support for any elected office.

He treated me and several other democrats in the most crass manner in 2002 and 2003.

This man is a fine activist but is not suitable for elected office.

78. You've tried this before
If you have a complaint about this man, come right out and say it. Otherwise I have to assume that you are blowing smoke.

Or I might say "MHR did something sexual that shocked funeral directors all over Texas PM me for details."

See, I don't have to tell the truth or even imply truth to abuse your reputation. If your complaint can stand the light of day, let's hear it. If it can't stand the light of day, shut the fuck up.
