Go Away Party for slutticus

Well, the little slutmeister has decided to bail out on us for gainful employment in a blue state.

Bastard...

So instead of happy going-away party, why don't we throw him a roast of sorts (thus, a Go Away party) so that we can pour out all our envy and jealousy upon him before he leaves Houston for good. No presents please; he's been blessed too much as it is.

slutty has only a few dates available for such an affair; he has suggested that Saturday May 6 would be best for him. Please weigh in with suggestions; i.e., location, time, your RSVP or regrets. (I'll probably coordinate the May Houston DUer Meetup around this.)

Who's in (besides the Ditties)? Who's out? Where do we want to gather? Dining or not? Let's hear from ya.

9. Hey Everyone!

I was thinking about places to meet. (Actually, Dittie and Velma have been yelling at me to get my shit together :D)

So I was thinking about either Chapultapec (Mexican restaurant, excellent margaritas) or maybe Bibas for eating and/or Cecil's for a drink (on West Gray).

What do you guys think? If it's too far away for some of you, we can move it farther west or south or north...or wherever.

11. OK I have some alternate suggestions I want to run by everyone

who's coming to this.

On Saturday May 14th there are a couple of events worth attending:

-- The Art Car Festival and Parade (scroll down for events that weekend) downtown (festival begins at 10 am, parade at 1)

-- and the "Save America Without DeLay Festival" just a few miles south of where I am (starts at 4:30 and goes 'til 7-8)

-- what if we do a little dinner deal for slutticus that evening (and it can be pretty much anywhere we choose, even perhaps Kemah since that's just a hopskipnajump from where we'll be)?

So how does everyone feel about the date, for starters?

16. OK it's a plan for Saturday the 14th

The Ditties' plan is to rendezvous with the early birds at the Art Car events downtown around noon, eat, drink, watch the parade at 1, bump around some more, blow outta there for the Without DeLay Festival around three or four, spend a coupla hours there 'til we get hungry around 6-7ish, and pick a place to go eat, in town or out.

People can join up with the group at any time, at any of the three destinations. We'll all coordinate with our cells. (PM me with yours if I don't already have it...)

Anybody needs a pickup or a ride needs to holla back at me.
