2. "tear him down for the good work he does"
Stupid is as stupid does. Keep your blinders on lady. Tom DeLay will always be your hero. Why he's out there fighting for you teachers every day, and I'm sure your life as a teacher is so much better now than it was 5 years ago.

3. Who's the Congressional rep for Galveston?
Al Franken was talking about this on Air America--apparently, Scott McClellan had to field questions this morning on why Tom DeLay got a ride to the event on Air Force One, since it's not his district. So who represents Galveston, and was that person invited?

4. Ron Paul - and don't even get us started on him
Parts of Galveston County were snatched up into DeLay's TX-22 by his redistricting plan. If I'm not mistaken, the bulk of the county, including the City of Galveston itself, went to TX-14, a seat held by Ron Paul, a former Republican-turned-Libertarian now turned Republican again.

Under the OLD map, Galveston was in TX-9, the seat held from 1997 to 2004 by the Honorable Nick Lampson, who will go up against DeLay for the 22nd District in 2006.

Nice to hear that even Al Franken is learning the Texas Congressional District maps, a subject worthy of making anyone's head spin.

5. Well, at least Ron Paul thinks for himself sometimes.
As opposed to the clones we get up in this part of the world.

6. true that.
I guess even if RP is a little nutty, at least it's a break from the usual flavor of Texas Republican.

My own Congresscritter (John Culberson) might as well be DeLay's wind-up toy

told Delay to step down on that flight on AF I.
I can't verify that though but was supposedly a good source.
