In the statement, Miers said her nomination presented a "burden for the White House."

Wonder if that burden might be similar to the burden that John Dean carried before he told the truth in the Watergate hearings?

1. Good riddance!
However, this may have been part of the plan all along. I've had several people give me good scenarios about Rove putting up an incompetent to soften the Congress and the American public, for someone more insidious but someone who at least looks more qualified. In other words the next one is going to be much, much worse.

I still see it as a failure for the bushies.
