WFAA (Channel 8, Dallas) caught using spurious news item
The Center for Media & Democracy caught Dallas television station WFAA using a "video news release" promoting a nutritional supplement for treating joint pain resulting from osteoarthritis. The fake news item was produced by D S Simon Productions for Bioibérica, but the WFAA reporter actually did his or her own research and framed the claims in the proper context. In addition, the stealth ad was edited and re-voiced for broadcast.

FYI: WFAA is owned by the Belo Corporation.

1. Wait 'til Karl Rove sues WFAA for misappropriating his business model.
