5. Use to have a brand new Saturn
sedan, but my husband and I had to claim bankruptcy as I became disabled. My income went from $35,000 a year to the now $11,000 a year. Which I am thankful for getting something coming in every month.

So right now, I don't have a car to drive!

21. Well, I have a 1986 Cad. Brougham, am driving a 95 Crown Vic and
use a 1995 Dodge Ram at the ranch. I need a new car and can't decide what to buy. I love the comfort of a nice car and do a great deal of driving but need something spacious. Among many reasons for not buying one, I'm too petite for a SUV. Does anyone have any input on the VW Passat wagon?

...but a friend just purchased a Passat sedan a couple of months ago after doing some extensive shopping around ~ says he's been incredibly pleased with not just his buying experience but the car itself as well.

38. Subaru Outback wagon, too.
But I am now ex-Tex . The Subaru Outback is the unofficial vehicle of the NC mountains. They are everywhere. They are great little vehicles for the narrow, winding mountain roads and the mountain weather. My Subaru gets gravel road duty, too, getting back here in the wilds.

1991 Volvo 740

144,000 miles later and it still runs like a dream. No cracks in the dash. No rips in the upholstery. At this rate, it's going to be a long time before I have an excuse for a hybrid.

Those cars will run for ever
My wife and I had an 81 volvo, it looked like a peice of junk but it ran just as good as the day it left the lot. Drove till the drive shaft broke and that was in 1999.
