Don't get me wrong, Jeffords was a great guy and had a good voting record and his seat would've been easy to keep. But Sanders is about as liberal as they come in the US Congress and he will be a great voice for our values in the Senate. Hell, his views might even be more liberal than mine and that's saying something considering that he's a professional politician and I'm not.

BTW I think Schummer has said that the DSCC will endorse Sanders and I think that he already caucuses with the Democrats in the House, so for all intensive purposes he is a Democrat.

2. But I think that he caucuses with the Dems for organizational purposes

I don't give a shit whether or not he does party fundraisers for the dems and all that stuff (which is what party affiliation really amounts to these days). The bottom line, as you seem to be hinting at, is that he will be a very good liberal senator who will fight for our values even though he might not share our party affiliation. He will also caucus with the party that is certainly the lesser evil.

3. I'm so glad that Dean is from Vermont.
I don't think there's any way he would stand in Bernie's way. Dean knows Vermont politics.

6. Jim Jeffords= greatest Senator ever!!!
He's the only guy that I know that had enough balls to turn his back on the Republican party, and because of the great thing he did it gave the dems a narrow lead in the congress of 01-02.

Senator Jeffords you are truely my hero for what you did.

I would say more about the guy but sadly Senator Jeffords isn't the most talkative man on the Senate floor(that's Leahy job)
