This weekend I worked for Candidate Andrew Hurst
He's running against Tom Davis for the 11 district U.S. House seat in N. Va. I got an email from the party that the organization was taking place across the street from me at the elementary school. I called my local Rep and she was going to be there, so I walked over and there was the candidate and some supporters. He seemed like a really nice guy, he opposed the Iraq war, he's of the working class. It was so hot on Saturday and we went canvassing even a Republican lady took pity on me to offer water! I was dead tired at the end but glad to promote a guy who was also out there going door to door on a hot July day.

Hey, Democracy, baby! This guy seems to be a fighter.
