As we go into the active phase of campaigning . . .

I just want to say that I'm going to make a great effort to thank the organizers of the local campaign. People work tirelessly, without thanks. The lady who is heading up the campaign for our Congressional district candidate is a case in point. She is close to retirement and energetic 60's something, a career nurse and her love is working for this young candidate in our county for the Us. Congress. I heard her speak on the phone, she's a real believer, tries to remember everyone's name who signs up. She's smart as a whip and knows all the issues.

She thanked me for my work tonight, and I thanked her for hers. Whenever I feel down about things I remember the local organization in my county and the people who work and are devoted to it. So get out there and work, do what you can and be there for the positive energy we need to take back the House or Senate. It's critical this year. If we can't do it now there may be no hope.

And thank you, Jane! You are such a beautiful intelligent person!
