Four found dead of carbon monoxide poisoning in Burien
Horrible... :(

BURIEN, Wash. - Four people were found dead in a house Monday afternoon of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, officials said.

King County Sheriff Spokesman John Urquhart said firefighters arrived at the home in the 11700 block of Ambaum Boulevard Southwest just before 3 p.m. and found five people unconscious inside.

Four people were pronounced dead at the scene, and the fifth was transported to a hospital in critical condition. All five were adults, but their exact ages were not immediately available.

The deaths were the latest in a rash of carbon monoxide incidents following a storm that left hundreds of thousands without power and seeking heat.

1. If only they had died on a mountain...
They'd have received more coverage...

3. From the article:
And sadly, this is true...

"We're dealing with a carbon-monoxide epidemic in Western Washington," said Dr. Neil B. Hampson at Virginia Mason's Center for Hyperbaric Medicine. "This has the potential to be the worst case of carbon monoxide poisoning in the country."
