Media Blackout on WA Impeachment Efforts!! Move it to Page One!!!!
As many of you know, March 1st there was a hearing in Olympia to move a bill to the state senate sponsored by Sen Eric Oemig. As usual, our dear friends in the Mainstream Media again failed to report on this most pressing issue, while the Bush Administration tears our Constitution to shreds. There are already efforts in several states to get Impeachment hearings to Congress, since our congressional leadership does not want to bring these criminals to justice.

Since the committee met one day after the official deadline for the bill, they could not vote to move it forward.
However, I just received an e-mail from Linda Boyd of Eastside Fellowship of Reconciliation - http://www.eastsidefor.org/impeach, who helped to spearhead the rally. She said if we can urge enough state senators to bring up on the state senate floor, they may just get a vote on it! Urge your state senator to bring this important legislation to the floor!

Please call Senate Majority Leader Senator Lisa Brown 360-786-7604
or Senate Democratic Caucus Leader Senator Harriet Spanel 360-786-7678
or State Democratic Party Floor Leader Mrs Tracey Eide 360-786-7658
email Sen Brown here: brown.lisa@leg.wa.gov
email Sen Spanel here: spanel.harriet@leg.wa.gov

You may also call the Legislature's toll free line: 800-562-6000

1. Let AP/King5.com know what you think of their ridicule.

. . .But Olympia is in full circus mode some days. If it's not a meltdown over a Seattle tunnel, it's consternation over the war in Iraq and possible impeachment of Bush and Cheney. A little razzle-dazzle from sports stars turns lawmakers into groupies. And could Sean Penn and Tim Robbins be coming?

Under House Rules, "charges transmitted by a State legislature" is one way to set impeachment in motion, and further, a "proposition to impeach is a question of high privilege in the House and at once supersedes business otherwise in order."

To use the label "circus" to refer to the consideration of a resolution that is "a question of high privilege" that would supersede any "business otherwise in order" in the U.S. House of Representatives is blatant, intolerable, Un-American propaganda.

We stand at a crossroads. Much of the nation remains in deep denial, as exemplified in by the asinine reporting we see. It isn't easy to confront the stark reality, but confront it we must. America has become a War Criminal nation that spies on its own citizens. Impeachment is our only means of redemption. It is the means by which can declare our intent to once again assert our will and enforce our common contract, renounce the inhuman acts carried out in our name, and rejoin the world community.
