By KOMO StaffRETNON, Wash. - Police say a man in Renton shot another man during an argument Thursday afternoon.

Initial reports from police that the incident was connected to a robbery were erroneous.

Investigators say two men and a woman were inside the home about 1:15 p.m. when one of the men shot the other, killing him.

Police have cordoned off streets around the home in the 3500 block of Northeast 6th Place while they collect evidence and interview witnesses.

No information about the identity of the victim was immediately available.

Renton, Wash. - One man is dead and two people are in custody after a shooting Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 1:15pm inside a residence at 3519 Northeast 6th Place, in an area known as the Renton Highlands.

Police at the scene say they believe the victim and the shooter knew each other, but they do not have a motive.

Streets around the scene were blocked off for the investigation.

One Person Killed In Renton Shooting

RENTON, Wash. -- Police are responding to a report of a shooting in the Renton Highlands, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Police said the shooting happened in the 3500 block of Northeast Sixth Place just after 1 p.m.

According to police, one man is dead.

A man believed to be the shooter and a woman who called 911 have been taken into police custody for questioning.

Video from Chopper 7 showed patrol cars and crime scene tape outside a home.
