I attended Russ Feingold's birthday bash this weekend... a good time was had by all.

2. I remember the election of 98
I was in Madison, and this was the year that Russ held himself to his own proposed campaign finance regulations, while the republicans ran some no talent hack with his hands in some deep pockets against him. I think they actually ran out of ballots at some polling places in Madison, the turnout was so huge for Russ...

and have been disappointed......don't ever get your expectations of politicians too high...in the final analysis, they're just human....

occasionally, politicians do great things, it's rare....
