I hate Tony Clement

If this site is closed and I see anyone shooting heroin behind my apartment, I will drive them to the nearest conservative party office (Which I think is David Emerson) and drop them off their to shoot.

1. I like your solution, but
did you really expect Harper's crowd to decide any other way?

Randy White's anti-drug group is faith-based, and they get federal funding.

2. Good. He's a hateful creep.
And yet he's among the most reasonable people in Harper's cabinet. What does that tell you?

On those occasions when I've interacted with him, I've always ended up with an oily, acrid taste in the back of my throat, as though a bit of bile had backed up from my innards.

3. Me too!
In fact I despise every one of the faux cons, every one of them.

4. A wise and reasonable individual
My favorite line in the article:

"There are already people saying injection sites aren't enough, that true harm reduction is giving out heroin for free," the minister said.

Who are these "people" (other than the addicts themselves)? If that's the best that he can come with for his so-called slippery-slope argument...

There have been critics of Vancouver's more liberal approach to the drug problem for a long time now. At first they were critical of the needle exchange program, later of the safe injection sites. I don't think much will come of the Minister's comments--nothing has yet materialized, and I don't think the federal government has much say.
