So, are we going to have a coalition government?
All 3 parties will vote against this fiscal update apparently.

1. I wish but don't think it will happen...
As posited by the media, there will be JUST ENOUGH opposition MPs missing to enable the faux cons to retain power. I have gotten very tired of the empty threats re bringing down the con government only to have the opposition parties cave in the end.

3. Leaders are in coalition talks
right now apparently. Layton cancelled a trip to BC to participate.

Liberals say they aren't abstaining.

Could get interesting.

4. If
They want to get serious they can make political contributions tax deductible only to the same amount that we can deduct medical expenses. Or charities. While keeping the present limitations.
Wonder how that would affect the reformers?

Go get them!

5. Harper just wants to bankrupt
anyone who opposes him. He's apparently not serious about what he's called the 'worst financial crisis since 1929', just partisanship.

7. Yes, THAT would upset him.
He'll probably be kicking a lot of chairs just thinking about it.

10. Unbelievable...
...Harper's unbelievable. Great time to play partisan political games. I hope they can form a coalition...why not? It'll be a generous helping of crow followed by a nice big slice of humble pie for Harper. It's a minority government, he has to win the confidence of parliament and instead he wants to play brinksmanship. The guy's got no soul.

11. This fiscal update is a fucking joke.
I just wish all three parties would vote against it.
