It's true that it's good for him to finally get support from a politician who isn't a right winger (Bush is political poison, Berlusconi isn't much better, the Australian Howard isn't well known here, and the more you know him, the less potential Labour supporters would like him). But Clinton has much less of a profile these days - it's over 4 years since he did anything.

4. Hardly a surprising endorsement, I would have thought.

I found Clinton's social policies, in particular, very disappointing but he was streets ahead of the dreck in the White House now.
