Everything That Is Being Said & Wanting To Jump In And Say Something. But Knowing Not Just Yet, Or Maybe Someone Close To Him Like His Daughters. It Could Happen. After All Elizabeth Edwards Was Here Before.

23. They ought to make the time ....learn something about their future
They either contest the electoral vote or consider their own future unemployment. After all, it would mean putting their futures into Rep controlled elections. Soooooo, why do they play into such a game?

Are they really that spineless or stupid?

If noting is done on Jan 6th, then thats when it becomes plain to me and I vote third party from now on. At least I can feel I'm giving my genuine support to a courageous candidate. I do realize, however, that my candidate will never win. The rigged elections will make sure of that.

83. You're absolutely right...
If these politicians REALLY wanted to keep an ear to the ground and know what was going on with their constituents and supporters, they'd tune into these blogs regularly. Granted they'd hear a lot of pretty strong statements they might not want to hear, but it would do them a world of good to keep their finger on the pulse of the political blogs.

71. Hey they Tsunami theory is not so far-out...
Give it more time to develop before you nay-say it entirely. Besides, if we question such things, and don't mull them over with fellow-DUer's, much of the experience of the InternetS is sadly wasted.

RE: JK possibly perusing DU: I suspect that at least someone in JK's family occasionally checks the pulse of 'the word on the ground' from DU (or some similar site). In a way it would sort of be like reading Constitutent emails.

I also imagine that since the Election, JK (or someone in his family) has felt "down" about it all, and DU (or some similar site) might help. Also remember that unlike most politicians in D.C., JK was actually an Activist for a while. And he still seem's pretty 'hip'...so I don't think a place like DU would be entirely off his 'radar.'

....Probably if I said anything more it would be taken wrong and I would end up in jail and all I would be doing is venting my fustration...

BUT hey doubt He would ever find out or really cares.

13. He never once dropped in on his own forum...
...and the mods/admins and those who were close to the campaign said that he didn't have time to read. There were people from the campaign who did read, though, and at least in the early days, did bump our ideas up the chain of command. Anyone remember the "Kerry misery index" (showing how badly the average American was "really" doing under the Bush administration) from this spring? It lasted about a day because there was a great outcry on the Kerry board that it was a bad idea because the only things anyone would remember would be "Kerry" and "misery."

Granted, he's undoubtedly got alot more free time on his hands these days, but I don't see him lurking at a keyboard. He's probably out skiing or snowboarding.

17. Okay, I'll take the bait, and say:
If, say, you're some poor guy trying to sell his new bike gizmo, and you study the bike market and how to get something going, one of the first things you learn is to focus on the most important segment of the market: the enthusiasts.

These are the folks who spend every extra minute and thought on bikes, and accessories, and how to improve the experience of biking and everything that goes with it.

And they are the ones from whom excitement, and innovation, and validation or invalidation come, flowing down through the rest of the market and defining its direction.

And by now, if the tremendous ferment and faith of this forum have not yet found a direct conduit to the one whom it would most benefit...it'll be any minute now.

31. People are saying "No because people are mean here" and
I say, well, shouldn't he know what people are thinking?

This isn't the freeper site, it's DU. And he can find real anger and disappointment among democrats on Daily Kos and Smirking Chimp also.

I find it strange that people are afraid for anyone to say anything negative or for Kerry to hear anything negative.

During the campaign I took endless crap from bloggers because I was angry that the campaign didn't respond to the shitload of liars' ads. I was told I was just "being negative", and the "campaign knows what it's doing". If I said one thing or the other seemed to be "sticking" (like I'd hear some uninformed jerkoff out in the world spewing "flip flop" and I'd tell the blogs that the moniker was sticking) I'd get creamed again.

It does no good for John Kerry to hear only glorious praise and be left clueless as to the anger and frustration some of his staunchest supporters are feeling.

I want him to be president. I think he's the most qualified candidate we've ever had. But IMHO he will not ever be president if he doesn't fight now. Not because he'll overturn things now (although perhaps at a much earlier stage it might have been possible - e.g., requesting some tiny bit of patience with "In the U.S., an accurate vote count determines the winner, not the networks." instead of a concession speech), but because many folks who braved hours in the rain for this man or were unable to vote because of long lines in 2004 might not be willing to work as hard in 2008.

And many people who are committed believers that there has been election fraud and have been waiting for someone to address this will be completely disillusioned on 1/20/05 if * is inaugurated in a vacuum of silence about that fraud from the one man who can actually command an audience about it.

I hope John Kerry IS reading this stuff, all of it, all the praise, the concern, the love, the respect, the hope, and even the negative stuff. Because that's how "we", democrats and progressives and John Kerry voters are feeling.

I also feel like I am teetering on the edge of some serious disillusionment with the political process in this country if our elected officials don't stand the hell up for us on Thursday. 52. For what John Kerry is up to, read this Newsweek article
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6777696/site/newsweek/

It's brand new. He talks about why he thinks he lost, there are clues to if he will run again, his dissatisfaction with his staff, what he is doing now and in the near future, etc.

64. Lots of the stuff in this article is new. It's in the Jan. 10th Newsweek.
Here is some of the new stuff:

Next week he will leave a family vacation in Idaho (he had planned to do some skiing, mountain climbing and skeet shooting) to travel to the Middle East and Iraq. When he returns, he will introduce two bills in the Senate: to provide for health insurance for every child in America and to increase the size of the U.S. military by 40,000 troops.

Kerry has become deeply fascinated by the task of rebuilding the Democratic Party from the grass roots up, say his advisers. He has hired a streetwise political organizer from Boston named John Giesser, the deputy to 2004 grass-roots organizer Michael Whouley, to run his political action committee. There is talk that Kerry is trying to make Giesser his Karl Rove, though Giesser is said to be too quiet and unassuming to play the role of master manipulator.

There is some rehashing from the Nov. article, but basically, this is an update. It's an interesting read.

79. Thanks for the link to the Newsweek article.
The way that first paragraph is written, it sounds as though Newsweek is giving itself a kind of "opening" to discuss election fraud in a future issue:

Jan. 10 issue:

"It was a little after 7 p.m. on election night 2004. The network exit polls showed John Kerry leading George Bush in both Florida and Ohio by three points. Kerry's aides were confident that the Democratic candidate would carry these key swings states; Bush had not broken 48 percent in Kerry's recent tracking polls. The aides were a little hesitant to interrupt Kerry as he was fielding satellite TV interviews in a last get-out-the-vote push. Still, the 7 o'clock exit polls were considered to be reasonably reliable. Time to tell the candidate the good news."

It's interesting the way the author focuses on how Kerry appeared to winning through the 7 o'clock exit polls. What does everyone think about this approach? To me it definitely looks like a possible "introduction" to the subject of election fraud.

82. A thought for John Kerry from Rabbi Hillel
“If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?”

86. really?
G.W. shrub was spotted snorting more coke and corn-holing a sheep ( and I don't mean Condi).Although he has no fucking idea how to even turn a laptop on he is studying up on it through the "internets".

What a cowardly, inept jackoff he is, isn't he? Not to mention those cowardly followers of his that like to beat their chest over this war but remain state side? Yes indeed, cowards being lead by cowards how utterly pathetic!

87. No. I would be embarrassed for him to see...
...what's being said about him here.

It's no wonder we don't get more activity from mainstream Dems. Why would they come here just to get abused by all the Greens, trolls, disruptors and tinfoilers?
