Rally Rain Gear and Signs for the 6th in DC
I'm thinking 58 degrees on Thursday is going to be balmy (but I'm from NC) but you should be prepared for some rain (40 % chance in the morning but tapering off to no precip). If you have a white umbrella use fabric paint or washable marker to paint your message in orange or blue on top. You can also go to the dollar store and buy rain ponchos and write on them with washable markers, the possibilities are endless, you'll be a walking billboard (and those ponchos keep you warm, too). A more flexible sign than cardboard could be made by going to the fabric store and buy a yard of material in orange or blue (or both and put them back to back with a different message on each side) and use fabric paint to write your message. Rain won't wipe it off or tear it up like a cardboard sign and you'll be able to fold it up and put it away until the next time you want to show somebody how you feel about our elections.
