Al Franken is an idiot
Just cut a caller short who accused Bush of stealing the election. The caller also tried to voice his disappointment in Kerry for caving so fast.

Franken is the type of Democrat Bush can walk all over. A wimp and a phony.

Franken, before I forget, go fuck yourself.

26. If true then he's making his first really big political mistake.
Poo-pooing election fraud without investigation or even simple coverage of the issue is not a sign of leadership.
Perhaps we can get Laura Flanders to run somewhere. Or Mike Malloy. Can you imagine him on c-span every day? Would give Robert Byrd a break.

brushed him off. Told him the election wasn't stolen, chuckled at him for saying that and told him that Bush's policies may be bad, but he is not evil. :puke: FAF!

Personally, I don't care for him on the air.
I like Stacey Taylor much better (on AM in San Diego KLSD)
I did enjoy hearing Al speak, but now I can't
believe he would do something like this. I just wrote
him an email expressing my disappointment with him.
The LEAST he could have done was have an open discussion
with the caller. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

21. Sorry it took me so long to respond.
He was talking to a guest (I've forgotten who it was) and the death of Congressman Matsui was mentioned. The guess then mentioned that we'd also lost Chisolm and Franken simply responded, "Uuuhhh, yeah." He then mumbled something which I couldn't make out.

short pat response and then he moved on. Like it was an interruption in his script. Not overtly dismissive if one gives him the benefit of the doubt (and some may not), but just like someone responding to the news of perhaps half a million killed by the tsunami with a mumbled "yes, that's unfortunate."

I didn't expect a 5 minute hymn of praise for Chisholm, but I thought the manner of his response was peculiar.

(edit: wasn't the guest Howard Fineman? He was on around that time as I think I recall.)

Mostly shills for the machine companies.

Here is their site:

That doesn't make everyone at MIT (or Caltech) "evil", however. Lot's of good people at MIT who have been on the side of exposing fraud in the 2004 elections.

what happened in Ohio is illegal and a travesty to our democracy. the correlation between voting machine allocation and party affiliation is undeniable.

it's not a matter of our facts and his facts. it's about refusing to investigate.

40. at some point you have to accept a fact as a fact
when an employee of Triad admits to providing cheat sheets for the election officials and suggests that they use the cheat sheets instead of actually counting the ballots, that is a fact.

When you look at the voting machine allocation and see that there is a direct correlation between the number of voting machines per voter and the percentage of democrats registered in that precinct, that is a fact.

It doesn't make one arrogant to call a fact a fact.

Not everyone who is on "our side" agrees on everything. Certainly people on this Forum do not agree on all details. If people who disagree listen to each other openly without attacking and getting pissed, maybe people will learn something.

On the Oy, oy, oy Show today, he said something like, "Why was Jeb Bush sent to Indonesia? To show them how to rig an election?" So give him a break.

His show is getting a bit boring lately, but so are some of these exit poll threads, IMHO. Everyone has a right to their opinion though and we are lucky to have Al trying to make some sense out of all this crap.

49. I must say though that I heard one of those MIT guys on another show
and he was talking total trash! The fact is that he had no way to show the vote was verifiable and therefore no way to say the election wasn't hacked. Nevertheless, my understanding is that they are in favor of the VVPB, and combined with the appropriate, mandatory, TRULY RANDOM auditing, this can work. It might not be the BEST solution, but I think it can work and it's infinitely better than what we have now. The guy really pissed me off though!
