1. it is a disaster, by definition
according to some people, whatever the dems do is a disaster, because it's the dems.

The historic filibusters of Bush's freak judges, the historic challenge to the Ohio electors, one thing is constant, the dems didn't do enough.

7. The House is frightening--full of a bunch of yahoos.
There are only 100 senators, and usually they have more decorum than the House members.

But, both are frightening today.

9. Gee, I thought it was the reverse...

...but I think it's when you tune in to each.

I just saw Blunt and other repubs mocking the effort in the House, and Senators rising in support of the challenge.

making some good points!

11. Better than nothing, but not much.
I am saddened by this ... the Democrats in the Senate (up to now) all imply or say that we "need to get on with the nation's business". They're going to vote to certify the Ohio electoral votes ... it could be unanimous.

The Democrats are fighting the last battle ... they failed four years ago to do the right thing - so they're trying to make up for that mistake now.

I'm glad that the House Democrats and Sen. Boxer made the challenge, but there is something tragic and depressing about this ... I think this is yet another step on the road to the ultimate demise of the Democratic Party.
