Why are they only talking about long lines and so forth?
I KNOW Kerry has a lot more votes in Ohio than have been counted. I know if they hand-count all the opti-scan ballots, it'll be much closer. I KNOW there are plenty more Kerry votes all OVER this country ... this whole thing just stinks to high heaven.

YES, we should talk about making sure everyone can vote without standing in line all day. We should federally standardize the voting system.

BUT -- what about all those electronic machines on which people tried to vote for Kerry and the machines defaulted to Bush? What about all the irregularities all over the place? What about COUNTING ALL THE FREAKING VOTES, not merely complaining about how the election was run?

1.  WISH THEY'D TALK MORE ABOUT MACHINES
I honestly think people accept the disenfranchisement as business
as usual (which they SHOULDN'T) but don't understand the statistical impossibility of * winning due to rigging the machines-why don't the dems have more stats????

8. The problem is...

If you don't have any statistics, they say "well then. Harmmph. No statistics? Pretty weak case, don't 'cha see?"

And if you do have statistics, they say "Well then, yes, those are statistics. But statistics don't prove anything. Or rather, I've heard you can prove anything with them. So I tend to ignore them. It's not like it's evidence or anything."

If you bring evidence, they say "Well yes, that would appear to support your case, which makes it obvious on the face of it that it's from a highly partisan source. Can't take it at face value, you know."

And so on.

5. Thery don't have
any verifiable evidence so they can't present it. Doesn't look like any Dems there think Kerry won. How many more times will someone say "George Bush Won!"

7. We're blowing it
they keep saying they agree Bush won. The media doesn't have to pick up anything else unless we make some irresistibly good sound bites...

They need to indicate the size of voter disenfranchisement has the potential to shift the total, and that irregularity begs investigation!

10. It's a good, concrete talking point. Anyone can understand it.
You don't have to be a computer geek to understand that it is just plain wrong.
