An earlier suggestion: A site to thank all those who stood for us today

I do not have the skills to do it but i think this is a marvelous way to show our gratitude. A site not just for DUers. A site for EVERYONE to thank them. It is the very least we can do.

6. Can someone summarize

what happened today? Did it make any difference? I´ve been waiting for this day for a few weeks, but today was a national "help the people in Asia" day in my country, so I kinda followed that news, instead of what happened in the US. For the last weeks I´ve heard this day was supposed to be an important one.. was it?
