Poll question: If Kerry doesn't unconcede should he resign from Senate?
Nothing like a little pressure like sending the results of this poll to him. His seat would be filled by a Democrat (certainly in Massachusetts) in a special election.

He was warned this exact thing would happen and he promised not to concede and then went back on it. If he doesn't find his backbone, I want a Democrat with a backbone replacing him in the Senate.

1. This is almost a push poll
I do not believe that Kerry did the right thing by conceding, but I also do not believe he should retire his Senate seat.

Where is the option for that?

2. Actually, I want to make sure he gets a sense of how strongly we feel
about his concession.

6. With only these options, I doubt he will get any sense at all

8. If we can't trust him to fight for us, we can't trust him at all
He let us down. I will not be fooled again.

4. This is not helpful.
No matter what you think of Kerry, he is a reliable Democratic vote in the Senate. We're already outnumbered. We need all the Democrats we can get. MA has a Republican governor. If Kerry resigns he will be replaced by a Republican senator. Is that really what you want?

5. He voted for USA-PATRIOT, the IWPR, Homeland Security
and, when under pressure, he acts like a coward. I want another Kennedy or Byrd.

7. Am I the only one who thought concession was the only option?
I think he did out of love of country. He saw no conceivable way of winning, no way to prove any fraud, and he wanted to try and avoid any more divisions in the country. Call him a pussy if you will, but thing he did all that he could. We know Bush would never concede, and drag this thing out for months. Kerry's a better man, and I think he did the right thing.

9. Stunning Idea
Yeah, let's get him to resign from a secure Dem seat until 2009 and open up the chances that a Republican like Celluci or Weld win a special. A further distraction from a united front in the Senate.

Brillant!
