After a two month search for the letter and police report from an unnamed attorney of Yang Enterprises, Inc. (YEI), reported without confirmation or factchecking by MSNBC's Keith Olbermann (along with other unconfirmed and un-factchecked charges by Rep. Tom Feeney R-FL about Clint Curtis), The BRAD BLOG has finally tracked down both.

The alleged "threatening" email was not sent to YEI or it's "top officers" as reported by Olbermann. And it appeared to be a note in which Curtis was trying to help a fomer colleague, certainly not "threaten" him.

You're not the only one to request that, kster. I've been trying to find time in the background to make some formatting changes to eventually allow for a Dark-on-Light version of The BRAD BLOG.

Breaking events however, and the fact that I have to do all of the HTML coding myself, means that it still may be some time before I'm able to complete the project.

In the meantime, COPY and PASTE the text into your favorite Word Processor and you should be able to read it as Black on White.

I live in the general area you're discussing and I was invited once to the house of one of the lesser power brokers of the area. He had stuffed dead animals all over his game room and tons of guns on display. I can't tell you how often people use the reference to guns in heated discussion. 14 hops from my IP and successfully navigating the domain router interface. So... is the software hung, hardware failure, or severe DDoS attack? Whatever the problem the hosting company is probably aware of it through onsite network monitoring devices. If the server isn't back up by 8:00 AM EST the hosting company should be notified as not all companies monitor their monitoring devices.

Just Deep Effort. After a month of the Oviedo Police (where "the firm and its top officers", as KO put it for them, are located) trying to find the police report (to no avail) we were able to locate them via the Winter Springs police.

Had KO simply bothered to ask the unnamed attorney for that police report and/or threatening writing when he spoke with them, and when they made the claim that he dutifully (and irresponsibly) passed on to the public, none of that would have been necessary.

Were the copies of the actual emails and police report, etc. posted on your site? And if not, why not?

I don't mean to play the devil's advocate, and I commend you on your terrific work, but what's to prevent the "other side" from saying SHOW ME, otherwise maybe you're just making these emails up? BTW, I am in no way saying you did - just thinking what would come to my mind if I were on the other side.

The copies I had of the police report were very hard to read and would not have scanned well.

I've now gotten a better copy and may put it up and online. But then...I've just gotten a bunch of other documents related to all of this and going through those with more news on all to come. (Hopefully, this time with the actual scanned docs for you).

BTW, the "other side" wouldn't bother saying SHOW ME in this case, because it's the "other side" who filed the silly police report "for demonstration purposes only", and it would only make them more look even sillier to see the actual docs.

But I will try to get to it...
