22 months... the clock is ticking... tick. tick. tick...
In case you are not aware, there is a federal regulation stating that all presidential ballots must be preserved in a secure location for 22 months after the election.

That means, from the fraudulent election of 11/04, we have until 9/2/06 and at that point it is legal to destroy the evidence. That's about 5 months.

It is not clear exactly what is meant by the regulation. Here in Vermont we are unsure if the ballots will in fact be destroyed. Also we can't figure out if the regulation here is being interpreted as saying that no one can view the ballots during the 22 months, but perhaps afterwards, we will be given access. Some have theorized that the law implies they MUST be destroyed after 22 months. I really don't know.

But, with the clock ticking, it's worth mentioning now. We have 5 months to request access, inquire about the law, etc. After that, we could lose the proof we know exists somewhere.

If anyone is more familiar with this law and its implications, please share here and now.

G

3. get yourself an early birthday present
head down to your town clerk and start asking questions before it's too late.

people say there is no to ever prove the election was stolen. hogwash. it's already been done by countless reports. but to hand count some ballots and find the machine count was wrong, that is irrefutable physical proof that something went wrong. and the right judge could use this as reason to crack open the voting machines and find out what happened.

6. I did ask questions, they would not give the results
Maybe they are going to hold them up like Alaska due to "National Security" Nothing to
see here, please move on, they give results but only the electronic totals not how
many registered voters signed the poll books and they will not put the results on-line.

8. Funny, we share the SAME month and day of birth!!

But far stranger is that 22 months is just two months short of 24 months, which is the amount of time between federal elections (two years). So, we need never have more than one election's ballots sitting around to even potentially do any scientific studies on, not that they'd let you anyway.... Brilliant planning.

11. ask Bill Richardson
he allowed the memory from the DRE machines to be wiped clean, even though that would be the closest thing to the ballots there is. He should be prosecuted for breaking that law.

13. Gary, are there others like Bill Richardson?
Maybe a complaint to the state AG with full statutory citations can help. If the AG does nothing, you can also notify all local media (newspaper, TV and radio) about the problem.

9. tick tock..time is running out
Federal law mandates 22 month ballot retention for federal elections. Most states have sunshine laws (public records) that allows anyone access to ballots for inspection. A simple letter or call is usually sufficient to exercise this right.

1. Ohio has free access
2. Florida costs are based on county. $10 per hour for the clerk holding the ballot in Orange county - last time we checked.

Precinct based counts are the easiest to do and any individual with a little free time can help audit.

I would recommend having a detailed precinct report that accounts for all ballot types before starting an audit. As an additional suggestion; do not give the supervisor your audit list too early unless absolutely necessary.
