VOTE EARLY- encourage others to and REPORT ?????s LINKS petition..
http://www.peaceteam.net/earlyvote.php
"We are already hearing reports of secret purging of the Democratic voter rolls in various states, http://www.opednews.com/articles/genera_rob_kall_061018_ohio_lawsuit_to_rein.htm just the way we know for a FACT things like this happened in the last couple elections."
It is sheer lunacy to wait until election day on the HOPE that all will go well, when every indicator is that certain partisan secretaries of state have it planned to not go well.
We need student groups to organize their campuses to carpool their friends to the appropriate election offices.

We need community activists to carpool as many of their neighbors as possible to vote NOW, and not face possibly longer lines on election day itself.

"Also use this page to help organize all your friends to get out and early vote. If you enter the email addresses of all your friends, they will get the text of this alert with the subject " Join Me In Early Voting."

Also a form on page to submit problems. and don't forget the toll free * as well, (I worry the lines may be jammed-either by problems or repub operatives)
http://pdamerica.org/petition/paper-ballot-emails.php New PDA paper ballot petition-incase you missed it.

1. The ONLY guarantee of casting a vote is an ABSENTEE BALLOT!
If the machines break down, as they often do--by strategic design and just because they are crapass machines--you MAY OR MAY NOT be given a REAL paper ballot to vote on. More likely, you will be forced to vote on a "provisional" ballot (easily tossable ballot). And they may have nothing--no ballots.

Your ONLY guarantee of being able to cast a vote in this election is voting by Absentee Ballot.

The deadline for requesting an Absentee Ballot in California is OCTOBER 31. Plenty of time. The CA deadline to register is Oct. 23, a week earlier--this Monday. Check local rules for other states.

If you want to endorse this crapass technology, manufactured and forced on us by some of the worst corporations in America, Diebold, ES&S et al--close allies of the Bush Junta--go ahead and vote on their extremely insecure and insider hackable machines, run on TRADE SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code.

If you want to PROTEST this situation, vote by Absentee Ballot. AB votes are not particularly safe, in this highly corrupt environment--except as to being able to vote at all, when their machines "break down"--and AB voting will not insure accurate vote counts this time. Nothing can. But there has been a huge increase in AB voting all over, because people DON'T TRUST electronic voting. The NYT is already lying about it--saying it's voter "convenience," and easier AB rules. Nope. They're just making shit up. AB voting has ALWAYS been convenient. Why the big and exponentially growing choice of AB voting paralleling the cancerous spread of electronic voting machines? And why the particularly huge increase in AB voting in California, where AB voting has always had easy rules?

It is an indigenous peoples' BOYCOTT of the machines!

Join the MASSIVE CITIZEN PROTEST AGAINST THE MACHINES! Vote by Absentee Ballot!

Election reform activists should be supporting, focusing and leading this indigenous protest, pushing media to interpret it correctly, and using it as a club on local/state election officials to get rid of these machines!

3. Links, please.

Link supporting this assertion, please.

Please provide link supporting the assertion that Absentee Votes are not counted on "insecure and insider hackable machines..."

Link supporting the assertion that you aren't, please.

And re:

...pushing media to interpret it correctly...

Again, links would be helpful...

Else it might seem as if one is "just making shit up".

5. voting absentee?
There are few if any circumstances in which I would vote absentee.

I probably would vote absentee in Maryland, because they
can't run elections on election day.

NO ONE SHOULD EVER RECOMMEND ABSENTEE VOTING UNLESS YOU HAVE ATTENDED A
COUNTY BOE MEETING WHERE SUCH BALLOTS/APPLICATIONS ARE REVIEWED.

Getting an absentee ballot counted is very very iffy.

IF the BOE gets your ballot, assuming your republican mail man delivered it -
then it has to be approved.

There is an application that you fill out with your ballot,
that must have all "i"s dotted, and all "t"s crossed.

In NC, you need two witnesses to sign and also include their addresses.

If you fail on any of these things, your ballot will be rejected.

It will be too late to do anything about it, and your vote wont count.

This is done by a bi partisan board, but all ballots have to meet the
same laws.

I will be voting ON a paper optical scan ballot on Nov 7.

4. The one time I voted absentee did not get counted... we got
a mailing the following election trying to find out if we had moved or something because we hadn't voted in the previous election. So the one time I voted absentee was the one time I'm pretty sure my vote wasn't counted.

'Course I have no idea if the in person votes got counted, either, but at least they recorded that I had voted.
