Nerds, top this: I'm crafting my own "Return of the Jedi" script...
As a casual fan of science fiction and fantasy, I've had quite a few guffaws at the expense of those who play Dungeons and Dragons or penned fan fiction, yet here I am, writing my own damn version of "Return of the Jedi." I deserve anything you give me.

Let me be clear: I adore "Star Wars", and "The Empire Strikes Back" stands as one of the most sublime films in American cinema. But the quality ends there--Episode VI is simply appalling. The relationship I have with ROTJ is comparable to one between a hedonist and syphilis, or a centrist and Ralph Nader.

Now, I could deny its existence, the same way I ignore the wretched Book of Revelation when reading the New Testament, but unfortunately, Star Wars is an incomplete saga without it. So I'm writing the goddamn conclusion I envision. Two hours a night--it's gotta be better than the shit Lucas and Kasdan wrote.

What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?

nothing I've ever done is as geeky as that.

Edit: I do agree, though, that anything you write will be better than the crap Lucas has been spewing. I want to see the third one but I just don't want to be disappointed.

2. A geek != nerd
Star Wars = Geek and Science Fantasy
Star Trek = Nerd and Science Fiction

Just IMHO

3. A friend of mine

From high school who later went attended the same college as I did (two years behind me) and I both independently had the idea of creating a game called, "Where in Hell Is Carmen Sandiego?" We had grown up with the Where in the World/Where in the USA/Where in Time games, and they were still around and more advanced than what we played in middle school. We felt that classical literature was getting the short end of the stick so it was to be based on Dante's Divine Comedy. We had written out some pseudo-code and come up with several clues ala, "The last time I saw her, her hair was really messed up from the wind." That clue would tell you to go to level 2 of Hell where a big wind constantly blows around the lustful. Never got around to writing it all out. Broderbund would have sued us I'm sure. :)

This same friend was compared to me throughout high school - we were both wise-acres. Also we both chose (independently) the same passcode for our college voicemail - the first 7 iterations of the Fibonacci Sequence: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13.

I was in awe though of a physics grad student who calculated that there was a minute "timezone change" in between the parking lot and the physics building. He did this because he was always showing up to his classes a minute late because of a job so he did some calculations and showed that when the belltower clock, which was just across the street from the physics department (on the way to the parking lot) tolled out the hour, it was still a minute to the hour on the other side of the minute timezone line.

Watched the movie Moulin Rouge about 100 times.

I have had many a'conversation with my brother relating to the philosophy of Star Wars and the feature of it, i.e. how does Vader come into being?

I'm obsessed with Anime.

I've read Fanfiction......... about Anime..........

Should I go on? LOL
