Summer TV? What are you watching?
Edited on Sat Jul-02-11 11:23 AM by eablair3
Just wondering what tv shows people are watching this summer? Maybe you're watching some movies?

I've checked out the new "Combat Hospital" on ABC. It's decent. Others I watch are Royal Pains, Falling Skies, Covert Affairs, and a little White Collar.

But, really looking forward to the return of Breaking Bad this upcoming week. Then, Entourage, too, in a while.

And, finally saw The Fighter a couple weeks ago. Excellent, with some outstanding performances.

Anyone have any recommendations?

2. Well... right now
I have a buddy of mine sending me episodes of Luther series 2. I have not given up on Falling Skies yet but I'm close. Also, I'm catching up on Spooks, right now I'm in series 6.

3. Luther
Edited on Sat Jul-02-11 11:34 AM by eablair3
I saw the first season of Luther, and thought it was really good. I guess the next season is airing in the UK now, but last I saw, it doesn't make it to BBCA til October, iirc. I know I will be be looking forward to seeing it.

Downton Abbey was another from the UK that I saw recently and thought it was excellent.

9. Unfortunately, Luther series 2 is only four episodes
I've seen the first three and if you likes series 1, you will like series 2. I can't wait to see how they end it and I hope we get a series 3.

4. I mostly watch the "talent" shows:
"The Voice," "So You Think You Can Dance," and "America's Got Talent". I know, they are mindless, but it's summer ... and I'm on break!

I recently watched "The King's Speech" (Netflix) and loved it. I have Pt. 1 of "Pillars of the Earth" here now. I plan to watch all three.

And I love having KO back! :hi:

5. Falling Skies...
looking forward to Warehouse 13 and Breaking Bad. Network TV doesn't seem to have any interesting series anymore. I loved V, but I don't think there will be another season of it.

Game of Thrones is quite excellent. I has watched each episode a multitude of times. And like you say, other than that - nothing.

15. MasterChef Australia
It's on six nights a week. Great reality TV, beats the pants off the US version of Masterchef.

And we're finally watching The Wire. On Season Three right now. When we finish, we'll start on Oz. I've seen it before, but haele hasn't.

16. Game of Thrones twice. The Big C, for the acting and the words
Weeds for anarchistic story arcs. Falling Skies is good fun. For nonfiction, I am hooked on 'How The States Got Their Shapes' and the show about secret places in famous cities, I think it is called "Forbidden Seattle" or Forbidden whatever city it is in that week. Love that stuff!

29. Yeah
"Rizzoli & Isles" is awful. The only thing it really has going for it is the insane chemistry between Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon. I can't seem to stop watching them together on my TV screen.
