I have a question about selling online
Edited on Fri Nov-19-10 08:54 PM by FirstLight
live in CA, don't have a tax id # or anything.(so that's a whole 'nother set of questions..)

I make wands, staves, etc... and wanted to get some out there for christmas, etc...
at first i am just staying local and doing consignment at the bead and eclectic stores,
but i would like to be able to take orders or post a few
completed items and pictures...

where's the best place to do something like this? is there an online marketplace that i can build my own page and just let'er rip?

I know how to build a page from scratch but don;t really wanna have to sport a new domain
and ebay doesn;t really work for me

i *do* already have a paypal set up, thank goodness...

any suggestions or ideas??? Thanks

1. craigslist
you don't get your own page but you can place as many ads as you like.

3. If it's hand-crafting
I also recommend Etsy. While there, look at other people's profile pages, where they often post links to their work in other, less prominent (or more specifically targeted) handcraft online marketplaces. That's how I found Redbubble, a print-on-demand website based out of Australia but now serving a global marketplace.

A simple blog or even a Facebook Profile that people can "fan" would be a great way to get images of your work out. Remember, you control your own exposure.
