Persecution, foolish pride and martyrs

This is where the early (pistic) christians went wrong. When not sacrificing to the virility of the Emperor was punished by being "thrown to the lions", the fundie pistics in their pride (unlike gnostics) chose their pride in "true belief" before yelding and not causing suffering to their loved ones and their persecutors.

Then the pistics allied with their persecutor, the Emperor, and started persecuting others. How could it not be otherwise, wounded pride leads to aggression and becoming persecutor oneself, when the true spiritual choice would be to follow Jesus' example, not condemning, forgiving those who hurt you (for they do not know what they are doing), turning the other cheak.

Beware the sin of Pride, give the Emperor what is Emperor's, and thank the Emperor every moment for teaching us humility!!!
