UN Pushing Binding Resolution To Make Criticism of Religion ILLEGAL
Edited on Fri Feb-27-09 04:00 PM by stopbush
Unfuckingbelieveable. Like there's nothing more worthy of criticism in this world than fucking religion.

Hitchens is on the case...sorry that you have to watch Lou Dobbs to hear what Hitch has to say:

1. So Islam should recieve not recieve any critisism whatsoever.
But it's not a big deal against others.
Seems the Sean (the west is satan) Penn crowd is up to no good.
Sean Penn :puke:

12. A/C.3/63/L.22/Rev.1 mentions "Islam" precisely twice in six pages:
(1) On the first page, where the sponsors Belarus, Uganda* and Venezuela are indicated, there is a footnote indicating Uganda is "on behalf of the States Members of the United Nations that are members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference"

(2) On the fourth page, the seventh item of the resolution says that the General Assembly Expresses deep concern in this respect that Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism

Neither the word "criticism" nor the word "criticize" appear anywhere in the document

So how do you conclude the resolution would forbid any criticism of Islam?

2. Completely irrational.
I read about the non-binding resolution last year.

There's no way the US can sign on to this resolution.

3. Oh, sure...like that shit would be enforceable
Besides, if the religious zealots couldn't criticize and condemn one another to hell, they'd have no message to deliver. Well, now that I think about it, THAT'S not such a bad idea, is it?

4. Only doesn't it seem that those with the armies and powers of statehood
Can go after theose who criticise their religion, while those without armies and powers of statehood can become suicide bombers if their people are gone after

Endless streams of violence.

5. Well, as a race of killer apes, if we didn't have religion, we'd find other reasons
The whole long, sorry history of humanity has been murder on top of murder, justified by religion, revenge, conquest, theft, racism, etc., etc.
