or just go quickly in a surgical elimination. Ah, the possibilities!

1. Hmm. Me thinks you want the Tiggers to look even worse than they are.
If the Twins go to the World Series, then that improves the status of the Tiggers.

At least that is the way a REAL SPORTS FAN thinks.

2. Ha ha ha ha ha.
I just want my friends who are Twins' fans to feel exactly how I feel today.

4. Oh come on, half the fun of sports is arguing about bad calls
There have been some doozies over the years, though my favorite has got to be the guy signalling Charles White for a TD when he fumbled the ball a yard short of the marker (I've never been able to find that picture online). Of course, there was also the time that some ump gave a team five downs - remember that one? Priceless.

5. The infamous Missouri/Colorado game
in 1990 that helped give the Buffs the national championship.

7. Yes - there was no excuse for that one!
I didn't particularly care about either team, but it stuck with me as one of the worst calls in sports history. Is that something they could review now? It's not a judgement call, so I'd imagine it would be (if you can review a spot, then you can certainly review the number of the down, I'd think).

10. Now that really is a true statement, that I think nearly all of us here can agree upon.

11. If your Tigers had just managed to beat the White Sox one more time,
there wouldn't have even been last night's game. I don't care much for baseball, but I do root for the Twins, and I can honestly tell you that had Detroit won, I'd be pulling for them BIGTIME against the evil empire.

12. Nice divisional support.
You think if the Angels win I'll be rooting for them against the Yankees, a team in the Sox division? Well, ok, I will be, but it's not right for YOU. :P

13. It was just such a painful loss......

There's not a team left I want to root for.

14. I know it hurts, but you should root for 'em, LisaM. They're playing the Yankees and
it would make you look better. The Twins didn't make that bad call.

I know, it sucks out loud.

Wish my man Verlander had been pitching. I might buy his jersey.

15. Maybe we should call it a bad rule.
Cause if we're talking about the phantom HBP in Inge's at-bat, the call was by the book.
