Woman gets choice: Go to jail or give up Packers tickets
OSHKOSH, Wis. -- It's a choice that could give pause to some Green Bay Packers fans.

A judge ordered an Appleton woman convicted of theft to decide whether to spend 90 days in jail or donate her family's Packers tickets next season to charity.

Sharon E. Rosenthal, 59, of Appleton, took more than $3,000 from labor union accounts before she left the organization, according to a criminal complaint. She was sentenced Friday in Winnebago County Circuit Court on one felony count of theft.

Judge Scott Woldt offered her the decision to either serve the jail time or donate her family's four seats in the Packers' three-game season package to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

2. Those Packers fans are a serious bunch.
Season tix are probably a family heirloom, handed down from generation to generation.

Let a poor black kid steal $3.000.00 and see if the sentence is a whopping "90 days in jail"
I'm so f*cking sick and tired of this double standard we seem to have in this country.
White collar Criminals can have a field day stealing and they usually get a slap on the hand...Anybody else is a "Filthy thieving piece-of-shit" and deserves 5 years of hard labor.

4. My reaction too. Banks are worse. You steal from a bank as
an employee and they fire you period. They don't even give bad references because it's against the law. They don't want the publicity. But catch someone with some marijuana 3 times and it's life in prison.

7. Martha Did It For Much Longer
If she goes in now, she'll be out in time for the pre-season.

6. I would take the 90 days before giving up my Eagles tickets.
Of course I'm not a fucking thief either so the situation is purely hypothetical.
