6. We've got seven games coming up with the Buckos,
That ought to erase this disastrous road trip.

(I almost made reservations to see a game in Pittsburgh, but my house painters and repairers started work.)

4. Ubaldo is fading fast..
he has only one win since 6-28, During that time he's had starts in which he's given up 6 ER and 7 ER, as his ERA has ballooned from under 1.00 at the beginning of June to 2.75 now.

I suppose he could still turn it around, but as of now, it appears Jimenez will have to go over to Lincecum's house if he wants to get up close to a Cy Young award...Tim's got two, so maybe he'll let Ubaldo hold one.

5. And yet, Chris Carpenter is 11-3
He wins between 16-20 games every year and is one helluva pitcher. Nobody has mentioned him for the Cy Young award. Why is that?

7. Carpenter isn't even the best pitcher on his own team...
Adam Wainwright is...He leads Carpenter in ERA, WHIP, WAR and just about every other stat.

Wainwright along with Johnson have to be considered the two current favorites for the NL Cy Young..

8. I dislike the Cards
and I won't argue with you. I thought either Wainwright or Carpenter should have won the award last year.
