What a shame. Paterno had been touted for decades as a model of a winning, clean coach with a winning, clean program beyond reproach in every way.

Then again, I suppose, if you've been around for decades like he has, the success eventually gets to your head and you start thinking you're indispensable. Hang around too long, you risk embarrassment.
