When was the last time an NFL team won without completing a pass
It could happen today. Tebow is 0-4 and the Broncos are still beating the Chiefs by 10. They scored a touchdown on their opening drive without attempting a pass. Since then they've tried three play-action deep passes and a shovel pass, none of which have been complete.

I can't remember seeing a team leading at halftime without completing a pass, but it's probably happened at some point.

1. I'm kind of liking Denver's "3 yards and a cloud of dust" offense.
It's not gonna beat a good team, but we're not playing one.

True

On edit: and, moreover, there aren't a lot of good teams in the AFC West -- so it could get us to the playoffs

8. crazy -- and Joe Namath was 2-18 that day
Joe Ferguson only attempted two passes. Looks like it was a windy day, but still.

As a Bronco fan who has never been on the Tebow bandwagon, I'm happy they got the win and are one game back in the division, but I still have no confidence in the project.

Next week the Jets defense gets a crack at him. Yeah. Should be interesting.

16. Be honest,
the Broncos winning these games is a curse. It only fuels the false notion that "Tebow is a winner", and he "just wins games" among a good portion of the Broncos fan base. Elway still needs to find a real QB in the draft, he can't let fans run the team because the current QB happens to validate their worldview.

17. oh, absolutely
I sure hope Elway and the staff don't think the triple option is a long-term solution.

18. I don't think these three wins have convinced Elway and the coaches
that it is a long-term solution.

The fans on the other hand? That's what I'd worry about.

14. Broncos won 17-10
Tebow looked pretty bad throwing the ball, until his last pass, which was a 56-yard touchdown pass that hit Eric Decker in stride a few yards shy of the end zone. Looked great.

McGahee and Moreno both got hurt in the first half, so Lance Ball carried the load rushing. Weird game, really.

15. The Denver Post is comparing this game to Ohio State and Michigan in 1973.
"One of the most memorable matchups between Hayes-coached Ohio State and Bo Schembechler-led Michigan was a 10-10 tie in 1973. Hayes, who coached until he was fired for punching a Clemson player in the throat in a 1978 bowl game and died in 1987, passed for zero yards in that Michigan game. Hayes' Buckeyes were ranked No. 1 in the country and in their biggest game of the year, they pass for zero yards."

Damn, I missed it. And now I'm in the middle of Cowpies country where there won't be any highlights.

20. He three-hopped an 8-yard out route.
Other than that, most of his passes were deep, low-percentage passes. I didn't think his throwing was all that bad (definitely not as bad as his Miami game).

21. 55 rushes is beautiful football
If Tebow's true calling is the elimination of the forward pass, no human being has ever accomplished as much. It should never have been legalized in the first place.

22. Oh Come On
Only a troglodyte fan would dislike the forward pass.

If you hate that part of the game that much, why don't you just watch rugby? The pass is what makes the game singular and unique. It's the only game that requires the rules of the game to change depending on the kind of play being run. There are more than a dozen that only apply to the passing game, and without them the passing game would be either indefensible or deadly.

Maybe you were kidding, but i personally find that sort of football tedious and predictable. And if the Chiefs were not just as bad as the Broncos, we would have seen that 50+ running plays is a recipe for defeat in the NFL.

Man, the Chiefs' defense is terrible.
