Gwynn and Ripken elected to Hall of Fame
Hall of Fame President Dale Petroski just announced that Cal Ripken, Jr. and Tony Gwynn were elected to the Hall. Ripken got 98.5% of the vote and Gwynn got 5 fewer votes (I can't remember the exact totals).

Goose Gossage finished third in the vote, narrowly missing out with just over 71% of the vote.

2. Both fine human beings, also...
I will never forget Cal Ripken Junior, standing tall throughout the worst of the bad times for MLB. He stood for all the good things, in an era when the game was torn apart by greed and the fans were treated like dirt.

Peter Aneglos owns the team, will NEVER go to an Orioles game if he is still the owner.

Greedy PIG, all of that $ from the tobacco settlement and he CAN'T spend a DIME on the Orioles, at least Dan Snyder spends freely!!

Cal Ripken, Iron Man.

Yeah O's, when it meant something!!

From a Fells Point regular

5. The Skins also didn't build their stadium with taxpayer dollars. Unlike Angelos and Modell. nt
